CREATIVE WRITING QUALIFICATIONS

I have an MA distinction in creative writing and a first class BA Hons. in creative writing and English.

COMPETITION SUCCESS

I won the regional final of the NATIONAL SHORT STORY COMPETITION and was subsequently published in their magazine.

WRITING APPROACH

I love to experiment, often merging drama, poetry, music and prose together. I have performed my poetry with other musicians in the North West on the WRITE OUT LOUD circuit.  I am currently working on a collection of poetry and fiddle collaborations which will be performed and recorded in Autumn.

CREATIVE WRITING TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In the last ten years I have been the workshop facilitator for SALFORD WOMEN WRITERS, for various community groups in Salford with CREATIVE START 50+ and for ECCLES COLLEGE.  I spent a year in a local primary school working with small groups of children inspiring them to write and have fun!
