PROJECT LENGTH
As a workshop facilitator I am usually contracted to deliver a 10 -12 week project delivered in 2 hour blocks each week to groups of up to 12 people. However, this time scale has often been extended to cover a whole year.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The writing workshops have culminated in the group production of small booklets of poetry and prose, poetry readings and poetry/art experiments. A good example is the work I did with Creative Start 50+.

In CREATIVE START 50+ I worked with artist/writers and a series of poetry and art booklets came into being. The group and I also collaborated with a visual artist, and produced a 'House of Poetry' : a 3D sculpture with laminated poetry suspended within it.

WORKSHOP APPROACH
The main aim of my writing workshops is to free people up, to put them in a place where they write spontaneously and without censorship. Writing is an art, a craft which needs honing and training but, at the same time, your creativity should be given free reign. Most of the exercises are inspirationally based. I like writers to surprise themselves. The workshops are full of fun and revelations.
Much emphasis is placed on respect for each other within the group. Building trust, confidence, listening and offering constructive 'gentle' criticism to each writer. The individual writer will be nurtured within the whole of the group.
FEES
£25.00 - £30.00 per hour.

As an MA graduate of radio and T.V. drama, prose and poetry, I am able to offer a critique on all genres of writing up to and including degree level. I am equally at home with the non academic writer and the beginner/improver writer.
I can teach writers how to structure a play, short story or poem and how to edit and re-draft it.
WANT TO PERFORM - MEET OTHER WRITERS?
I can introduce you to other writers and writing groups in your area. If you wish to perform your poetry with like-minded writers, I can introduce you to a network of performance poetry venues.
FEES
£25.00 per short story 3,000 words.
£25.00 upto six poems.
£25.00 per half hour drama.
