TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I have a YES YOU CAN philosophy to teaching. I inspire confidence and enthusiasm. Whatever your age. What ever your ability. YOU CAN DO IT.
Providing you put in the practice of course.
I believe in a good foundation in music. Note reading skills, a good technique and musicality are instilled from the start. There are no short cuts but many rewards from this thorough approach.
WHAT I CAN TEACH YOU
I can teach you how to read music, how to develop a good technique for the piano or the keyboard up to grade 8 level. I can teach you how to improvise and sight read. I can help you to build a repertoire of both classical and popular music.
LEVELS
Absolute beginners to advanced. Both children and adults are welcome. Starting age from 6 yrs to 100yrs.
EXAM
If you wish to take graded examinations I use the London College of Music and Associated Board examination syllabi: Step 1 to Grade 8, theory and practical. This route offers an excellent development in technique, repertoire and musicality. Both London College of Music and Associated Board award UCAS points for success in the higher grades.
NON-EXAM
A much more relaxed, tune-based approach to learning to play the piano or keyboard, without the pressure of an exam.

TIMES
Monday to Friday 11.00am - 9.00pm
FEES
Beginners £13.00 per half hour.
Grade 3 level onwards £20.00 per hour.
Lessons are payable one calendar month in advance.
Discount: £1.00 per lesson where more than one family member attends.
Fortnightly lessons are available.
CANCELLATIONS
Lessons cancelled with more than 48 hours notice will not be charged for.
